The NEOBOTANICS® brand was created on the basis of scientific research into natural bioactive substances, led by Doc. Prof. Ing. Petr Kaštánek, PhD., in cooperation with major Czech scientific institutions and top doctors.
Research, development and production take place under the strictest conditions in the laboratories of our parent company BIOCEN laboratories and in the Science and Technology Park of the Applied Research Center Dobříš (CAVD) in the midst of the beautiful landscape of the Brdy Forests.
Doc. Prof. Ing. Petr Kaštánek, PhD., the owner of the company, is a Czech scientist who specializes in the entire chain of research and use of natural bioactive substances. As part of the research projects he manages, new medicinal products based on active substances from hemp are developed for the treatment of inflammation, skin injuries and surgical wounds in the form of innovative nanoparticles or new active substances for cosmetics. Holder of the patent council and awards, e.g. Visionary 2016.

Product development and manufacturing are led by a leading Czech expert in bioactive substances, Doc. Ing. Petr Kaštánek, PhD., based on a combination of knowledge of traditional natural healing methods and current scientific research carried out in state-supported research projects. We are returning to our roots - to the use of ecologically produced traditional and forgotten local herbs with the potential for use in dermatology, cosmetics and nutrition for the production of our preparations.
Bioactive, highly bioavailable ingredients
In our herbal dietary supplements and cosmetics, we use carefully prepared bioactive extracts. Where necessary for optimal bioavailability, we use bioactive substances formulated into highly absorbable liposomes, prepared using our own developed and protected NEOMICELLE TM and NeoCellTech TM processes.
Efficiency
Our products are based on a synergistic combination of active ingredients obtained through gentle extraction from plants and microalgae, often those found in extreme environments. This extreme origin is one of the reasons for their high effectiveness. Another reason is that we consistently use only standardized raw materials with proven high concentrations of active ingredients. We are only satisfied when our products are extreme: exceptionally effective.
Highest standards
There are significant differences in the quality of natural, especially herbal, active ingredients. Weather, growth, and harvesting during cultivation all play a role. NEOBOTANICS® uses exclusively standardized raw materials. This means that the main active ingredient of the raw material must have a consistently uniform, controlled concentration and quality.

Sustainable and ethical product
We hold ABCert certification as a producer of organic food, and in a number of products we use ingredients certified as VEGAN, RAW, and ORGANIC. In processing raw materials, we use environmentally friendly green chemistry methods and apply internal principles of the circular economy, utilizing and recycling the maximum amount of raw material components. We have this expertise thanks to the participation of our experts in the prestigious research centers BIOCIRTECH and BIORAF. Our company is family-run, with a tradition of research in the field of natural substances spanning two generations of academic researchers.
Supporting local producers
In production, we primarily use herbs from our own eco-production and from proven Czech family farms, under strict quality control and active ingredient content. In recent years, we have established research and production areas for a number of often forgotten traditional Czech herbs. For others, we use herbs from natural sources or from carefully selected growers and suppliers.
Vegetable capsules, suitable for vegans.
In our products, where technically feasible, we use plant-based cellulose capsules, suitable for vegans, instead of cheaper gelatin capsules. We also avoid tablets, which are cheaper to produce but use a number of additives, such as amorphous silicon dioxide or magnesium stearate. We only use tablets if it is possible to produce them without these additives, as is the case with BIO PURE CHLORELLA or BIO SPIRULINA.
Free from GMOs and irradiation.
We consider genetically modified substances unsuitable for the production of food supplements and cosmetics, and we do not use them in our products. We also avoid treating raw materials with ionizing radiation, which can damage biologically active substances and deactivate enzymes.
Not tested on animals
When developing our cosmetic products, we use modern methods of testing substances in "in-vitro" tests, we never test on animals.
NO to unnecessary chemicals
In our dietary supplements, we minimize the use of unnecessary chemical additives, such as artificial sweeteners, flavorings, colorings, and preservatives. While these substances simplify production or extend the shelf life of products, they come at the cost of ingesting substances that are unnatural to the body.
Certification and quality control
We manufacture cosmetic products and food supplements in strict accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and a carefully established Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system. In our state-of-the-art laboratories, we produce products in both conventional and organic quality.
We select high-quality raw materials that meet our criteria for high, standardized active ingredient content and clear origin. During the process, we monitor the entire production procedure. The result is safe, high-quality products that we assess for market release in the EU. We control the quality of our products in our own operational laboratories as well as in external certified laboratories.

The Czech population suffers from a vitamin D deficiency. This is essential for strengthening immunity (1). Very few foods naturally contain or are enriched with vitamin D. People obtain it from exposure to sunlight, from a diet rich in fatty fish, or from medications and dietary supplements. It is estimated that up to 1 billion people worldwide may suffer from vitamin D deficiency. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to supplement vitamin D, whether in natural, natural form - the sun, fish, or in artificial form, i.e. medications and specialized dietary supplements.
Vitamin D deficiency affects a large part of the elderly population, especially women living in countries with a temperate climate, due to reduced vitamin D intake in the diet (mainly from the consumption of fatty marine fish). The lowest seasonal concentration of the active form of vitamin D is usually observed during winter and spring. It is particularly alarming that more than 50% of postmenopausal women taking osteoporosis medications have insufficient levels of the active form of vitamin D3 in their blood, as shown, for example, by a study by Boston University (2). A study conducted among outpatients in Denver showed vitamin D deficiency in as many as 74% of seniors aged 66-89 years (3).
Vitamin K2 is an expensive substance, but research shows that it is very important for the human body (4), its food sources are mainly beef, yogurt and soft cheeses. However, its intake in a typical Central European diet may not be sufficient. Some vitamin K2 is also produced by bacteria naturally present in the human intestine. However, their activity can be weakened in the case of frequent use of antibiotics.
Expert studies show that it is advisable to combine vitamin D3 with vitamin K2. These synergistic (mutually reinforcing) effects of simultaneous administration of vitamins D3 and K2 have been found in a number of studies (5-9).
